An entity or company that offers mobile phone services but does not have its own licensed frequency allocation of the radio spectrum, nor does it necessarily have the entire infrastructure required to provide mobile telephone service. Instead, MVNOs lease wireless capacity (both data and voice) from established mobile network operators and sell it to their own customers. MVNOs typically have their own customer service, billing systems, and marketing strategies, differentiating themselves by offering unique plans, branding, or value-added services.
