Confidently validate phone data within your Databar workflows using Phone Validation API. This step-by-step guide shows you how to activate the integration and start improving data quality.
Introduction #
This integration requires an account with Databar. You can use a Databar managed API key that consumes Databar credits, or you can bring your own API key. To bring your own API key, sign up for an account with Trestle to access your key, which you will need in a later step.
Integration #
To start, go to your Databar Workspace and select the table with phone numbers to validate.

Once you’re inside the Databar table, select a blank column or create a new column to begin the Phone Validation Enablement. Let’s title the column “Phone Validation”.
From there, select “Use an enrichment or AI.”

This will pop up an enrichment search window. Search “Trestle” and select “Verify phone number with Trestle.”

In the Authorization step, you can either elect to use a Databar managed API key (which consumes Databar credits), or you can add your own API key from Trestle.

In the Mapping step, select the column containing the phone numbers you want to validate.

In the Automation section, you can decide when this enrichment will run. For testing, we recommend selecting “Run on Click” so that it’s only triggered manually.

Lastly, you will need to select which columns should be added to your table when this enrichment is enabled.
You can select from the following options:
- Phone Number
- Is Valid
- Activity Score
- Country Calling Code
- Country
- Line type
- Carrier
- Is Prepaid
- Warnings

You can always refer to the Trestle API Documentation for full definitions on these fields. To identify valid phone numbers, we generally recommend using the following parameters and rules:
- Is Valid = True
- Line type = Mobile
- Activity Score is greater than 30
Of course, this will depend on your company and industry. We provide the data but let you decide what works best for your business needs.
Once your data columns are selected, click “+ Add columns” to complete the enablement process.
Now, you can select which rows on which you would like to run the enrichment:

Within a few seconds, you will see the Trestle columns have been populated.
Quick tip: Look for the Trestle logo to easily see which columns were added with this enrichment.

And that’s pretty much all there is to it!
