Do my funds expire? #
Funds added to the Trestle Developer Portal Self-Service Wallet do not expire. You can use these funds at your own pace and choose whether or not additional funds are added to your balance manually or automatically.
Does Trestle offer refunds for Self-Service Wallet funds? #
Funds added to the Self-Service Wallet are nonrefundable. Once you’ve added funds to the Wallet, you can use Trestle’s APIs to consume the funds.
Why is my Self-Service Wallet balance not updating? #
When you use your funds via API queries, it can take up to one hour for the queries to update your balance. If your Wallet balance does not update after more than one hour, please get in touch with us at support@trestleiq.com.
When funds are added to your Wallet, the update should happen immediately. Please contact us if it’s been more than a few minutes and your Wallet balance does not update after a successful transaction.
Why are my usage counts not updating? #
API usage can take up to one hour to update in the Trestle Developer Portal. If your usage does not update for over one hour, please contact us at support@trestleiq.com.
My transaction failed; what now? #
If your payment fails, your API key will not immediately change. However, if your balance goes to $0.00 before a new payment method is added with additional funds, your API key will no longer work for running API queries. It’s essential to keep your payment method up-to-date, and, if necessary, provide a new one.
Why can’t I add more than $250 at a time? #
The limit of $250 at a time is intended to reduce potential fraud and ensure that we serve the right and appropriate use cases at scale. If you need to run more queries than this balance would support, we recommend that you reach out to us and work with our team to create an agreement that provides you with the level of access you need.
Why is my Self-Service Wallet not automatically topping up? #
When you set automatic top-up settings, our system checks to ensure that your Wallet balance is above the threshold you set and then triggers the top-up when the balance goes below that threshold. If the balance is not automatically topping up, it could be due to limited usage or an issue with your payment method. If you are having issues with this, please get in touch with us at support@trestleiq.com.
What if my Self-Service Wallet balance goes negative? #
Because Trestle updates usage hourly, it’s possible that within that time frame, you make more queries than your balance can cover. In this case, the balance will go negative. If your wallet balance goes negative, the process to resolve this depends on whether or not you have auto top-up settings activated. If you do, your wallet refill transaction will restore your balance to the “Refill Wallet Balance To” value you set. So, if your balance is -$10 and your “Refill Wallet Balance To” amount is $25, a $35 transaction will be completed to restore your balance to $25.
If you do not have these settings turned on, you must manually add funds to your Wallet to restore a positive balance.
API queries will be impossible when wallets are in a negative balance state, so we highly recommend setting up auto top-up on your account to prevent this.
How do I access a higher QPS? #
High QPS is currently only available for enterprise customers with an agreement with Trestle. Please contact us to set this up for your account.
Are there any usage or top-up limits with the Self-Service Wallet? #
Trestle has implemented some top-up limits for the Self-Service Wallet. You can only add up to $250 at a time. Each month, you will be limited to $750 via the Wallet. Please contact us for any customer who needs to use more than this each month.
Am I charged for queries that fail? #
API queries that fail (e.g., 4XX or 5XX errors) are not billable. If you receive an errored response, such as a 403 or 429, your Wallet balance will not be impacted. Please keep in mind that 200 responses with an error are billable, as we sometimes return responses with errors, notating there was an issue with the data that was provided to us.
