Getting Started with Trestle’s Developer Portal Wallet

Whether you are setting up your integration first and need more time or queries than the free trial provides, or you don’t need a large volume of API queries, the Wallet offered in Trestle’s Developer Portal provides the flexibility you need to set up your integration without making long-term commitments.

The Wallet is intended to provide a simple yet affordable way to access Trestle’s APIs as an entry point into the ecosystem. You still have the option to move into a long-term agreement and take advantage of bulk query discounts and custom configurations like a higher QPS (queries per second). This article will provide a setup guide for the Wallet and links to other resources.

Setting Up your Trestle Developer Portal Wallet #

When you sign up for Trestle’s Developer Portal, your account is automatically set up with a free trial. Once you’ve determined what products you would like to use, you can upgrade to a self-service API key with a Wallet balance to cover the cost of your queries.

  1. Log in to your Trestle Developer Portal account, select your trial from the dropdown menu, and click the “Upgrade Plan” button.


  2. You can see a list of the prices for API calls to each product on the pricing page. For your initial wallet value, you can enter between $10 and $100.

  3. Select “Automatically refill wallet when it goes below a certain threshold” to set up automatic top-ups anytime your balance reaches below the threshold you’ve set.

  4. Enter your payment details on the checkout page. Once you add your card, it will be saved for future payments. You can update your payment method later if you need to use a different card for additional payments.
  5. Once you’ve completed your payment, you will automatically be redirected to your Developer Portal account. The page will refresh, and your balance will be available.

As long as your API key has already been approved for access to the products you need, you can immediately begin making queries with it and your Wallet balance. If you need access to another API, please contact support@trestleiq.com with your request.
