Meet the Team: Asim Naqvi

Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your role. How did you land here?

I’m Asim Naqvi from Delhi, India. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and have worked as a software engineer at several Indian unicorn startups before joining Trestle. At Trestle, my focus is primarily on backend engineering and API development. During the interview process, I spoke with Kushal Shah, Trestle’s co-founder and CEO, and learning about the tech team’s work and culture sparked my interest. I’m fortunate to be part of the team.

What does your daily routine look like?

As a software engineer, my daily routine includes API and performance monitoring, collaborating on various software development processes, and discussing requirements with stakeholders. I document these requirements, design solutions, address functional and non-functional needs, write unit tests, and perform various testing types. I also set up effective monitoring methodologies to prevent potential customer-facing issues. I aim to deliver value to the business while maintaining high standards of quality, latency, and performance. 

What excites you most about Trestle?

I am excited by our leadership’s transparency regarding the company’s vision and business. The opportunity to work with top-quality developers accelerates my learning curve. I value being heard and having the chance to contribute ideas, knowing that the leadership is willing to invest in them. This encouragement boosts my technical skills and motivates me to share my insights. Additionally, seeing the impact of my work and owning projects helps me develop essential coding skills in software engineering.
