Meet the Team: Sameed Usmani
Tell us a little bit about yourself, your background, and your role. How did you land here?
My name is Mohd. Sameed Usmani, and I am Senior DevOps AWS-Certified Solutions Architect. I completed my Bachelor’s of Technology from A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. I began my career in DevOps Engineering in MindBowser and now manage Solutions and Infrastructure at Trestle.
What does your daily routine look like?
My daily routine as a Senior DevOps AWS-Certified Solutions Architect involves planning, implementation, and collaboration. I start my day by reviewing system performance metrics and addressing urgent issues. Following this, I focus on designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring they align with best practices and security standards. Regular meetings with development and operations teams are crucial for coordinating deployments and troubleshooting. I also spend time researching and integrating new AWS services to enhance our systems’ efficiency and scalability. Throughout the day, I prioritize continuous learning and staying updated with the latest DevOps trends and technologies.
What excites you most about Trestle?
What excites me most about Trestle is its impressive scale and impact. The fact that the company serves a large customer base and handles a vast amount of API calls per month is truly inspiring. This demonstrates the robustness and efficiency of the systems in place, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to such high-performance, large-scale operations. Being part of a team that is at the forefront of technological advancements and delivers exceptional solutions to a vast number of users is incredibly motivating for me.
What Trestle value do you relate to most?
The value I relate to and align with most is growth mindset. A growth mindset is the belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. I believe this perspective fosters a love of learning and resilience essential for great accomplishments. It contrasts with a fixed mindset, which assumes talents are innate and unchangeable. Embracing a growth mindset to me means to embrace challenges, learn from criticism, and persist in the face of setbacks.
