Q1 2026 Product and Development Recap
Q1 was a strong start to the year for Trestle with many product iterations, new features, and integrations balanced with some core infrastructure improvements and enhancements accomplished.
Product Improvements
We introduced several key enhancements across Trestle’s APIs, with a focus on improving signal clarity, expanding coverage, and strengthening accuracy.
Phone-to-Name Confidence Scores:
The Phone-to-Name Confidence Score is live across Reverse Phone API, Caller Identification API, and Smart CNAM API. This signal provides users with a clear indicator of the linkage strength between a phone number and the returned name. Scores are also now returned within Name Match Details as part of Real Contact API.
This update provides customers with more transparency into how strongly a phone number is associated with a name.
Name Match Details:
We introduced Name Match Details to provide granular insights within Real Contact API, allowing users to distinguish between primary owner and associated names.
The feature introduces three key signals:
- match_type: Indicates the granularity of name matching (Exact Name Match, Last Name Match, First Name Match).
- Is_best_name: Indicates whether the input name is considered the primary owner of the phone number (TRUE/FALSE).
- confidence_score: Indicates the strength of the link between name and phone number (50–90).
This allows businesses to prioritize reaching the right individual, improve lead quality, strengthen compliance workflows, and maintain cleaner datasets. Even when a name match is false, the Confidence Score can provide valuable context on the strength of the underlying data, which enables more informed decision-making across verification and enrichment use cases.
Improved Name Coverage, Accuracy, and Ranking:
We continued to refine our name-ranking logic across our phone enrichment APIs. This quarter we added a new data source that improved our coverage and more importantly, our top-name accuracy for both individuals and businesses.
Activity Score Accuracy Improvements:
Additional improvements were made to our Phone Activity Score, particularly for numbers previously clustered around mid-range scores. This results in better differentiation between potentially active and inactive numbers, strengthening a key signal used for contactability.
Platform Enhancements
Q1 included several foundational improvements to the platform, focused on real-time visibility, automation, and operational efficiency.
Near Real-Time Usage and Billing:
One of the most impactful updates this quarter was the transition to near real-time usage visibility:
- Usage is now updated within seconds (previously ~10 minutes).
- Billing services now run on a ~2-minute cycle.
This significantly improves transparency for customers, allowing them to instantly understand usage and remaining balance while reducing edge cases around overuse.
Developer Portal and Integrations
We continued to invest in making the self-serve experience more intuitive, transparent, and tightly integrated into customer workflows. Some of the visible things for our users included near real-time visibility into usage and billing, improved sign up and onboarding flows and enhanced Real Contact Data Assessment experience.
The goal is to improve the developer experience and simplify the customer service we can provide to our customers behind the scenes.
Integrations Expansion and Enhancements:
Q1 was an active quarter on the integrations front as we continued to expand how customers can access Trestle within their existing tools and workflows. This has been a theme every single quarter since Trestle started, but this quarter has been especially busy. This reflects customer demand for specific Trestle integrations, and the team’s ability to deliver those integrations quickly.
We released new integrations with:
We also introduced updates and enhancements to existing integrations:
- Improved the HubSpot integration with better population of properties, use-case context, and input data when using Recommended APIs.
- Enhanced Apollo integration for improved usability and data flow.
These integrations allow customers to seamlessly embed Trestle’s identity data solutions into their systems, supporting use cases like lead verification, B2B contact data enrichment, and fraud detection without requiring additional engineering effort.
Looking Ahead
As we move into Q2 2026, our focus remains on strengthening Trestle’s core value: helping businesses make better decisions using identity data and contactability signals. We’re very excited for some of the product updates on the horizon, including a special announcement about one of our products coming soon. Beyond that, we keep the focus of 1% better every day across our products, integrations and the infrastructure to continue serving our customers.
